A Simple Life with My Unobtrusive Sister: Bugs, Controls, and Save Migration
Perma-dash on zone load, false full inventory, save folder migration, KB+M vs gamepad, vending menu glitches.
Last updated: October 20, 2026
Quick Answer
Don't dash across map loads; back up www/save on updates; use keyboard+mouse; neutral movement before RMB specials; F12 inventory fix only with backup.
Nothing here is “git gud” — it is NW.js jank and save path stuff I wish I knew before hour ten.
Save migration (updates)
Game updates can ignore old progress if saves stay behind.
- Back up your current
www/savefolder (zip it). - Install / update the build.
- Copy the old
www/saveinto the same relative path in the new build. - Launch once; if half the data loads, restore backup and ask on Discord before overwriting.
Community 100% save drops use the same folder — see cheat guide.
Perma‑dash bug
Symptom: after a map transition, you stay at double‑speed sprint until restart.
Cause: holding dash while a new area loads.
Fix: release dash before crossing zone lines; if stuck, reload save.
Inventory “full” with empty slots
After some patches the UI claims full while slots look empty. Community fixes use the F12 console script — only with a save backup. I reloaded save instead of scripting when it happened once.
Permanent bag fixes (legit): Neko Plush Suit, Mana Gel on hub.
Controls
| Issue | Workaround |
|---|---|
| Gamepad drops inputs | Keyboard + mouse — more reliable for move + attack chains |
| Special (RMB) not firing | Most need hold RMB; buffer fails if you slide — stop moving briefly |
| Short‑press specials | A few skills register on tap; boss fights still want clean holds |
| Vending Drink something missing | Buy once from machine; if menu breaks, reload or restart |
| Life‑sim prompts drop input | Lower resolution or borderless window on weak PCs |
| macOS Intel | Some builds need x64 NW.js dropped in game folder |
| Android touch | Fast taps misread in combat; itch app launch helps some players |
Default combat binds mentioned in community notes: WASD / arrows, LMB attack, RMB hold specials, Space dash / smoke ball — stick to defaults while debugging.
Map soft‑locks
- Boss map edges and specific holes can trap you.
- Save before baiting enemies near pits.
- If fallen through geometry, reload — no shame.
itch.io app
Launching through the itch.io app fixed input weirdness for me on PC versus raw exe — worth one try before fighting controllers.
