Money Cheat Guide — Edit Cash in the Save File
Plain-text save edit for Anime Shop Simulator cash and parameters — where the line lives, what each value means, and why Vook barely recommends it.
Last updated: September 17, 2026
Quick Answer
Close game → edit 0_save.es3 in Notepad → find parameters → change index 0 for cash. Whole game is money progression — I would cap a new store at ~$5K seed money, not millions.
Hi, I'm Vook, a sim player who edits saves for repairs, not for skipping the loop — but I will document the money line because people ask, and pretending the file is locked is silly.
Blunt take: this game's whole point is money progression. Cheat cash and you delete the reason to play. I only ever consider a small seed bump on a fresh store — maybe $5,000 so day one bills hurt less. Not a million. Not shop level 80 in one paste.
Save location and backup habits: save guide. Retail loop if you play fair: beginners' guide.
Before you edit
-
Close the game completely — same rule as transfer or repair.
-
Copy
0_save.es3somewhere safe (0_save= slot 1,1_save= slot 2, etc.). -
Open the backup path from the save guide:
%USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\OneMoreTime\Anime Shop Simulator\ -
Open
0_save.es3in Notepad. Plain JSON — not encrypted.
Warning: Invalid JSON = broken save. Change one number, save, test. Keep the backup until the game loads clean.
The parameters line — cash and progression
Search Ctrl+F → parameters.
You will find a block like this (your numbers will differ):
"parameters" : {0:3924.70947,1:440.7235,2:6,3:6,4:0,5:0}
| Index | What it is | Example |
|---|---|---|
0 |
Cash / money | 3924.70947 ≈ $3,924.71 in my save |
1 |
XP / shop progression | 440.7235 — shop level XP pool |
2 |
Progression / day-related | 6 in my file |
3 |
Progression / day-related | 6 in my file |
4, 5 |
Other flags / counters | 0 in my file |
To money-cheat
Change only index 0 to your desired balance. Example — $5,000 seed money on a new store:
"parameters" : {0:5000,1:440.7235,2:6,3:6,4:0,5:0}
Leave the rest alone unless you know exactly what you are doing. Bumping 1 skips the pricing and service loop that shop level is built around.
Save the file → launch → Continue.
What else lives in the same file
The save is not just cash. Same .es3 JSON also tracks:
- Product inventory and prices
- Unlocked brands / licenses
- Shop upgrades and furniture
- Employees, wages, ranks
- Tutorial progression
- Loans
- Statistics and various unlock flags
You can edit all of that by hand. I do not — one typo in a nested block and you are back to broken-save surgery. Money index 0 is the only field I would touch, and only as a small cushion.
What I actually recommend
| Approach | Vook verdict |
|---|---|
| Fair play — pricing, bills, thieves | Best experience |
| ~$5K seed on a struggling new save | Acceptable — less day-one pain, loop still matters |
| Max cash + XP edit | You won a spreadsheet, not a shop sim |
If you are broke because of bad pricing or unpaid bills, fix those first — hub daily loop beats cheating and wondering why the game feels empty.
If the edit breaks the save
Restore the backup copy from step 2. Double-check you did not delete a comma or brace. For load/interaction bugs unrelated to cash, see the save repair section.
