Craft and Upgrade Weapons at the Forge
Gloom Sword to Eternal Scepter — craft order and why I upgrade AoE before damage.
Last updated: September 8, 2026
Quick Answer
Gloom Sword (AoE first) → Night Ballista for farming → Lightforged Warhammer → Eternal Scepter after Death Lord; skip Greataxe unless attack speed is funded.
Forge is not a shop — each weapon is a clear-speed tool. Wrong craft order = slow material farms = stuck on the next tier.

Mats: chest guide.
Craft order
- Gloom Sword — AoE before damage (wide swing = more kills)
- Demonic Greataxe — optional; slow unless attack speed is upgraded
- Night Ballista — mid-game AoE farm king
- Lightforged Warhammer — before Sanctum
- Eternal Scepter — after Death Lord
I craft the next tier only when it's ~30% stronger than my current upgraded weapon. Otherwise I pump upgrades on what I have.
Materials
| Mat | From | For |
|---|---|---|
| Rings | Common drops | Gloom, early |
| Burning skulls | Elites, Brawlers | Greataxe, Ballista |
| Books | Mage / library rooms | Warhammer, Scepter |
Notes per weapon
Gloom Sword — one-enemy-at-a-time if AoE is neglected.
Night Ballista — AoE 3, damage 2, attack speed 1. This is what makes Warhammer mats tolerable.
Lightforged Warhammer — damage → AoE → speed. Pair with guild crit.
Eternal Scepter — recipe after Death Lord. Base stats barely beat Warhammer; upgrades are the point.
