Unlock and Upgrade Guild Heroes
Paladin, Crusader, Necromancer — team crit buffs and the upgrade order I use.
Last updated: September 8, 2026
Quick Answer
Paladin for session crit procs; Crusader for line AoE and King's Edict; Necromancer after Diamond Coins; don't dump Guild XP into Archer.
Early combat group (Barbarian + Ranger) is in hub Phase IV. This page is the late guild — where passive buffs replace raw DPS.

Paladin
Recruit when Guild XP allows. Attacks can give a random hero +5% crit for the session — stacks over a long run.
Upgrade Holy Focus first (random hero goes brr for ~3s). Then attack rate, then HP. At level 1 Holy Focus felt like a coin flip; level 3 is when I plan around it.
Crusader
Replaces Archer for me. Charge hits a whole line. King's Edict: +5% crit to everyone every 5s. Royal Guard adds bodies.
Stand him at the room edge so the charge lines up with spawns.
Necromancer
Costs Diamond Coins — coin types. Active summons skeletons in an area. Boss add control.
Where I put Guild XP
- Paladin — Holy Focus
- Paladin — base attack
- Crusader — King's Edict
- Crusader — Royal Guard
- Necromancer — active
Sinking XP into Archer is a trap once Crusader exists.
