Quick Answer
Upgrade station in hub (glowing anvil). Target Rare+ before Warden. Priority: main weapon → shield → secondary → armor. Spend souls before missions — they die with you.

Sanctus Silius — upgrade station with the glowing anvil icon. Separate from the blacksmith's gold upgrades; see equipment purification for that loop.

Upgraded pieces enter the permanent collection pool. Don't hoard souls past ~1000 if upgrades are available — unspent souls are lost on death.
