Quick answer: Garage (V visor, T tablet, sort trash) → buy bags + picker → upgrade slots/suspension/boat → forest 100% → coast + cemetery → pond shore then water.
If I am simply asking "where do I go next?", I start with the sections below on this Eco Volunteer hub page.
What this game is
Trash-picking sim that looks like a chill walk in the woods until your truck shakes half the load off a forest hill. Money, upgrades, and area unlocks stack — first hour feels weak, then you snowball once bags and wheels catch up.

Most people quit around the second zone because the loop feels slow. That is the design, not a wall. Sort correctly, upgrade capacity, and the grind stops feeling like a grind.
This hub is my linear route garage → forest 100% → coast, cemetery, pond. Leaf pages only where people actually stall:
- Trash bags and inventory
- Map collections checklist — Forest + Meadows so far
Chapter order:
- Phase I — Garage tutorial
- Phase II — Tablet and shop
- Phase III — Vehicle and tool upgrades
- Phase IV — Forest cleanup
- Phase V — Unlock coast and cemetery
- Phase VI — Pond
- Phase VII — Stamina and driving
One rule: Sorted trash pays more than dumped trash. Every early purchase runs on that habit.
Phase I — Garage tutorial
First hour is a tutorial dressed as chores. Small space, but it teaches every system.

- V — visor. Highlights nearby trash. Tap it constantly for the whole game.
- Pick up trash, drop it in the bin by the door.
- Sort into the correct containers — that is where the money multiplier lives.
- T — tablet → shop.
- Buy trash bags, equip them to inventory slots. Full bag economy: trash bags guide.
- Exit the door, or pick a mission poster on the wall to start an eco mission.
Posters matter more than they look. Skip them and area progress may not register toward unlocks.
If trash is not highlighting, you are not in visor mode. V and T are the two keys I press most.
Phase II — Tablet and shop
I treat the tablet like a shopping list, not a browse menu. Open T, buy with intent.

Early priority:
- Food — buy before you need it, not after you are crawling.
- Trash bags — more bags = more collection per trip. Best early spend.
- Tools — garbage picker extends reach so you stop walking into every bush.
- Vehicle parts — suspension and tires once you can afford them.
Do not buy cosmetic junk before the first real vehicle upgrade. Every dollar on convenience early is a dollar not on capacity.
Phase III — Vehicle and tool upgrades
This is where the game stops feeling slow. Upgrades unlock areas you physically cannot reach otherwise.
| Priority | Upgrade | Why |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Garbage picker | Reach + less walking |
| 2 | Inventory slots | More trash per trip |
| 3 | Suspension lift | Forest roads without losing cargo |
| 4 | Off-road wheels | Traction on uneven ground |
| 5 | Boat | Pond and deep water trash |
| 6 | Fire extinguisher | When the truck catches fire on a bad hill |
Boat is the gate. Without it, pond trash is swim-only — stamina drain and limited carry. Buy it once income stabilizes.
Fire extinguisher looks optional until it is not. I learned that the expensive way.
Phase IV — Forest cleanup
First real test of the full loop: drive, detect, collect, sort, repeat.

- Drive to the forest in the truck.
- Collect plastic, metal, glass, paper — all spawn here.
- Sort at the trash station into the right containers.
- Check the map for leftovers before you leave.
- Return to garage when full or when the area reads clean.
The map is not optional. I have lost more time to one bottle behind a rock than to any other mechanic. Check the map before driving back.

Sort as you go instead of hoarding unsorted loads. Two sorted partial runs beat one full unsorted haul.
Forest also has museum collectibles — Skateboard and Teddy on my checklist. Optional for story progress; grab on the same trip: map collections.
Phase V — Unlock coast and cemetery
Milestone that opens the map: 100% forest completion.
- Confirm every trash piece is collected — map verify.
- Return to garage.
- Check progress on the tablet.
- At 100%, coast and cemetery unlock.

Meadows collection set: Guitar, Rubber Duck, Lamp — full checklist.

Stuck below 100%? Usually one of three: trash clipped in terrain, a collectible you thought was scenery, or a mission you never started from the poster wall.
Do not drive to the coast before the unlock fires. The game may let you approach; progress will not register until forest is done.
Phase VI — Pond
First area that punishes skipping the boat. You can swim — stamina drains fast and carry is limited.

- Reach trash in the water by boat (or swim if you must).
- Collect floating trash and shore trash.
- Sort and dispose at the station.
- Map-check before leaving.
My rule: shore first, then water. Shore trash is easier to spot; boat trips after that are only for what you cannot reach on foot.
Floating trash drifts. Last piece missing? Re-scan pond edges — it moved.
Phase VII — Stamina and driving
Stamina will not kill you. It will waste entire trips if you ignore it.
- Running loaded drains stamina fast.
- Keep food in inventory — I run at least two items at all times.
- Stamina regens when you are not sprinting.
- Buy energy-saving gear when the shop offers it.
Walk when loaded, run when empty. One habit, noticeable trip times.
Driving — most people lose cargo without realizing why:
- Slow on bumpy roads — speed shakes items off.
- Reverse uphill for stability.
- Upgrade suspension and tires before hard off-road.
- Use the truck bed for large items instead of hand-carrying.
Hear cargo shift? Stop and check the bed. A dropped item on a slope can roll out of reach.
Route checklist
- Clean garage — V, T, sort trash, buy bags.
- Tablet: food, tools, early upgrades.
- Picker → slots → suspension → wheels → boat → extinguisher.
- Forest to 100%, sort everything.
- Garage confirm unlock → coast + cemetery.
- Pond — shore, then water.
- Food on you, drive slow, protect cargo.
Patience and sorting discipline beat raw speed. Once upgrades catch up, the early grind fades.
