Defeat E'Efrae, The Dry Rot King
Mission IV: World Boss — Defiled Cemetery. Mid-range slams, frost/poison, rot worms, green Abrais stone.
Last updated: September 3, 2026
Quick Answer
Mission IV: Defiled Cemetery. Mid-range, dodge forward-left through overhead slam, heavy + frost/poison. Kill rot worms. Green Abrais stone.
First full run Mission IV world boss — E'Efrae, The Dry Rot King. Same bad habit as Demon Brute — standing still gets you killed — but this is a gear/status check too.
Prep
- Frost or poison weapon — high physical resist; status ticks through rot armor. Missing infusion? Check nexus gate rewards.
- Two+ health consumables — for rot after a missed dodge.
- Dodge roll upgraded if you can — i-frames matter on ground slam.
Attack patterns
| Attack | Telegraph | Response |
|---|---|---|
| Overhead slam | Both arms up, 0.5s pause | Dodge forward-left, 2 heavies on back |
| Rot orb volley | Three orbs spread | Strafe right |
| Lunging grab | Crouch, dash | Sideways dodge at last frame, 1 heavy |
| Rot aura pulse | Kneels, ground glows | Jump or double dodge back |
| Summon rot worms | Staff up, rumble | Kill worms — they explode |
Slam is the main opening. Dodge into it, not backward — shockwave clips retreat.
Fight flow
- Mid-range — let him close.
- Bait overhead slams; punish, then back off.
- At 50% — double slam; dodge both before hitting.
- Rot aura below 50% — don't stand next to him; aura doesn't reach mid-range.
- Frost slows recovery for an extra heavy; poison works but he cleanses at phase shift.
After the kill
Green Abrais stone — place in hub slot. Chest behind the arena has upgrade material; don't leave early.
