Quick answer: Classic → rain shield + economy → lightning chains → Phase One 500k → cultists + Phase Two → moon mechanics → buy all upgrades.
If I am simply asking "where do I go next?", I start with the sections below on this My Fire is Bigger Than Yours hub page.
Hi, I'm Vook, a middle-aged coder who likes playing games a little too much.
Today I am walking through My Fire is Bigger Than Yours from my own 100% run — Classic mode, both map phases, the moon stretch, and buying every upgrade. I will miss an optimal pick order here or there; this is how I scaled fire and lightning, not a spreadsheet sim. If your achievement pops at a different fire level, leave a comment — I read them.
You drag wood into fire, survive rain, stack upgrades, then stop clicking once lightning clears the floor for you. Late game is layout Tetris — trees, spawners, and moons burning because the fire is bigger than your planning. Leaf pages where people stall:
- Beginners' tips — first hour, rain, trees, mis-clicks
- Play online — browser build, play on this site
- Moon phase guide — cultists, mechanics, multi-moon layout
Chapter order:
- Phase I — Classic start and first upgrades
- Phase II — Lightning pivot and Phase One complete
- Phase III — Prestige, cultists, Phase Two
- Phase IV — Moon, mechanics, comets (detail: moon guide)
- Phase V — Burn the Sun and 100% buyout
What this game is
Incremental fire sim: catch or drag fuel into the fire, earn money, buy upgrades between rounds, survive periodic rain. Classic mode is the 100% path on my run.
| System | What it does |
|---|---|
| Fire level / size | Main power stat — screen-filling fire is normal late |
| Rain | Shrinks fire — rain shield and round timer help |
| Electric fuel | Lightning chains — eventually clears wood without burning |
| Explosive / fireworks | Synergy with lightning for chain reactions |
| Cultists | Auto-carry fuel after Phase One — placement matters |
| Prestige points | After Phase One — multiply fire and fuel earnings |
| Moon phase | New map layer — spawners, mechanics, super moons |
One rule: When lightning can clear the floor, stop hero-clicking wood — invest in chain count, range, and multipliers instead.
Phase I — Classic start and first upgrades
- Classic mode — drag wood into fire for cash.

- Cursor size + rain shield first — aiming and rain are the real early bosses.

- Spawn faster + earn more money — economy before fancy fuel.

- Plant trees near fire for passive wood — not inside burn radius.
- Shield + double money when affordable.

- Multi-catch (two wood at once), faster fire, more spawners.

- Electric fuel beside fire — multiplies earnings; add chain earnings.

- Fireworks spawn rate + another cursor size bump.

- Explosive fuel + extra spawners — catch flying wood to detonate.

- Skill tree: wood spawn time, more chains, cheapest upgrades; rearrange layout for visibility.
Mistake I made: maxing fire size before rain shield — one rain phase erased ten minutes of growth.
More first-hour habits: beginners' tips.
Phase II — Lightning pivot and Phase One complete
When to pivot off clicking
- Max fire toward 2.3 + shield — aim for ~$600 a round mid-push.
- Stack electric spawners and spawn rate.
- Firework chance + fire size — still clicky here.

- Prioritize explosion size + cursor size for spread control.
- Round timer upgrade — deletes rain so you can play offense.
- Buy cheap explosion size + earnings bonus whenever listed.
- Lightning focus: upgrade lightning to destroy wood without burning — less floor clutter.
- Lightning multipliers — double wood value; pair with explosive spawners.
- Max chain count + range — lightning triggers explosions in a chain reaction.
- Idle transition — lightning clears everything; fire becomes backup.

| Achievement | Trigger |
|---|---|
| Fire level 11+ | Level 10 is not the cap — push to 11 for the pop |
| 100 electric chains (one round) | Lightning build — 100 chains active at once |
Phase One capstone
- Keep alternating fire value and lightning — fire covers screen; lightning does damage.
- Save for 100k multipliers + round timer + shield.
- Rearrange trees/spawners when upgrades dry up.
- Survive rain without clicking once lightning is online.

- Complete Phase One — ~500k earned; map expands; fire can grow much bigger.

- Prestige points unlock — multiply fire and fuel earnings; stacks with electric/explosive multipliers.
Phase III — Prestige, cultists, Phase Two
- Place first electric spawner (two fuels at once) — upgrade speed and range.
- Cultists — trees close to fire so walks are short; upgrade cultist speed.

- Watch fire size — trees burn when fire outgrows the layout; move fuel lines outward.
- More lightning chains + electric spawners.
- Explosion size, fireworks parts, double money.
- Fire level 15 → keep fireworks + lightning online.
- Fire level 20 → achievement pop; $1M+ per round possible.
- Pre-run shop: fire size, cultist carry, fireballs.
- Cultist upgrades win Phase Two — max time, more wood, explosion size, carry capacity, rebuild destroyed spawners, more cultists.
- Move buildings away from fire — spawners and trees burn if lazy.
- Buy everything under 1M — lightning, explosions, fireworks.
- Phase Two complete — survived rain at fire level ~54, ~40M earned; split spawners for moon prep.

| Achievement | Trigger |
|---|---|
| $1 million in one round | Mid/late Phase Two with cultist economy |
Phase IV — Moon phase
Phase Two finish unlocks the moon layer — spawners up there, cultists walking farther, mechanics repairing burned structures. Full layout notes: moon phase guide.
Short route:
- Place moon spawners — click spawners to force spawns early.

- Moon speed, lightning, electric fuel — chain reactions still core.

3. Fire covers moon but burns props — hire/mechanic repair time + cultist shield.
4. Two extra moons on outer rings — keep them out of burn path when possible.
5. Super moon, comet, cultist upgrades — buy cheap chains between expensive moons.
6. Fire level 115 / 250B fire size territory — lag starts; see Phase V.
Phase V — Burn the Sun and 100% buyout
- Defeat the Sun — fire larger than the sun; achievement pop.
- Simplified physics — settings toggle if particles melt your PC (may shave earnings — I toggled it anyway).
- $1 trillion in one round — achievement; fire covers entire screen.
- Fire level 400+ — combat spawns lag hard; keep buying cheap upgrades between waits.
- Fire level 500–656 — trillions per run; map grows but you cannot see it under fire.
- Buy all remaining upgrades — final achievement; 100% complete.
- Last purchases: everything expensive left in the shop — two-upgrades-left moments mean you are done after the next rain.

| Achievement | Trigger |
|---|---|
| Defeat the Sun | Fire bigger than the sun |
| Earn 1 trillion in a round | Late buyout phase |
| 100% / all upgrades | Purchase every shop upgrade |
Try the browser build between sessions: play online.
Achievement checklist
| Achievement | How |
|---|---|
| Fire level 11+ | Exceed level 10 cap |
| 100 electric chains (one round) | Lightning chain build |
| $1M in one round | Cultist + lightning Phase Two |
| Fire level 20 | Mid Phase Two milestone |
| Defeat the Sun | Endgame fire scale |
| $1T in one round | Post-sun economy |
| Buy all upgrades | 100% completion |
